Tulsi Gabbard

On January 3, 2013, Tulsi Gabbard took her official oath of office in the U.S. House of Representatives making her one of only two female combat veterans in the House and the first American Hindu ever elected to Congress. Serving on the House Armed Services committee and House Foreign Affairs committee, Tulsi brings to Washington an impressive list of credentials and achievements, a lifetime of real-world experiences compressed into three decades, and a deep storehouse of personal strengths and leadership qualities. Whether it’s advocating to help keep the U.S. out of another counterproductive regime change war in the Middle East, making sure Puna residents had a road in and out when the lava hit, working to strengthen Hawaii’s economy, protecting our precious environment, improving our keiki’s education, taking care of our veterans, or ensuring our kupuna’s benefits are protected, Tulsi is committed to serving the people of Hawai`i and America.
